In 1993, the Committee on the Profession and the
Courts was appointed by Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye to study the
causes of public dissatisfaction with the legal profession and
recommend improvements. One of the acts of the Committee was
to create the brochure,
"Avoiding Grief With a Lawyer: A Practical Guide" --
intended to educate you on how to avoid problems with your lawyer
and what your rights are. The attorneys and staff at the Law
Offices of Jeffrey A. Asher, PLLC, applaud and commend the Committee
for bringing these issues to light, and suggest that you read this
brochure. We have always felt that the best relationship
between lawyer and client is one of reciprocal courtesy, respect and
trust.
